Microsoft Certified Application Specialist Study Guide 2007 Microsoft Office System Edition November 17, 2008 K. Winters 24 out of 24 found this review helpful
The Microsoft Certified Application Specialist Study Guide
This book is excellent in preparing those already familiar with Office to take the MCAS certification Exams. I have taken and passed the certification exams for Word 2007, Excel 2007, PowerPoint 2007, Outlook 2007 and Access 2007.

If you think you are ready for the exam and are not sure what is going to be on the test, this is a great book. This is NOT to learn from if you do not know Microsoft Office, it is for someone who believes they know the material but don't know what they don't know.
Microsoft Office Certifications July 23, 2008 James McAlpine 22 out of 23 found this review helpful
I am a certified expert on Word 2002, and lately took a class at community college about what is new in Word 2007. I got hooked on the new Ribbon interface. I asked the teacher about any good books for the new certifications for Office 2007, and she recommended this one. This book is concise and direct. It is an excellent resource for anyone already familiar with Office who wants certification, and also great for everyone else who wants to see the features available in Office 2007.
Great resource for taking the tests May 19, 2009 Johnathan Lightfoot (Washington, DC) 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
This is an excellent exam prep book. It will NOT teach you how to use the applications. You have to go in knowing the 2007 Office System already. The instructions are clear and precise. I think of this book as Microsoft Office 2007 Boot Camp in a book. If you want to learn about Office 2007 applications this book is not for you.
An excellent resource for rounding out your knowledge in order to take the test or to learn some of the more discreet operations that you can perform within the Office. I took the tests and was able to pass all of them pretty high using this book as a prep tool.
Perfect guide May 28, 2009 Jeremy (NH) 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
Let me start by saying I used this as my sole study guide for the MCAS testing, and I am now certified.
This book is not for people who are unfamiliar with Microsoft Office, nor those inexperienced with self study. It does not teach you the absolute basics. It contains all the information on the exams, not a drop more or less. If you spend time with this book, practice the things it teaches you, and really focus, this is all you'll need for the MCAS and probably even MOS certifications.
