Excellent Reference February 27, 2007 Michael Alexander (Frisco, Texas) 21 out of 22 found this review helpful
This is an excellent reference that really accelerated rated my learning of Access 2007. The authors do a very good job explaining general database management techniques and explaining every nook and cranny of the new version of Access. I found lots of useful tips and tricks that I was able to implement immediately.
Beginners will probably find the terminology a bit overwhelming, so for true novices who haven't had any exposure to Access, I'd recommend an entry level book like Access 2007 for Dummies before trying to tackle this book.
Those with some Access experience will get the most benefit out of this book, as it covers the essential topics: Advance queries, UserForms, VBA, ADO, working with SQL servers, and integrating with other office applications.
Son very pleased September 14, 2009 Sandra L. Pearce (Oakdale, PA) I had purchased the book for my son whom is a computer programmer. He uses it at work all the time.
It is a great value. The information is pronominal. I can not answer what I would look for in the book
but my son had found it and said that it was a great help for his data base.
Fantastic Reference for Programmers October 13, 2009 J. Spasyk This is a great book for anyone who has programming and/or database experience, but does not know Access 2007. It was a fantastic reference while I was buliding an Access application. It contains some introductory material as well as plenty of advanced topics. I have several Access books, but this is the first one I look in. I found the index particularly good. It is also well written. I did not use the examples on the CD very often because there is so much information available on the internet. In sum, it's a great book for programmers.
access bible - at beginning June 5, 2010 James P. Chasse (portland, or) Book is fine. I had previewed it by taking it out of the library.
It came promptly- much faster than I had anticipated.
