Describes a Lot you can do with Outlook January 22, 2007 John Matlock (Winnemucca, NV) 47 out of 54 found this review helpful
Microsoft's Outlook is the hands down most popular package in the world for handling e-mail. The overwhelming percentage of peopel using Outlook use it only for handling e-mail. They ignore that in revision after revision, down through many years Microsoft has expanded the functionality built into the program to becomen what Microsoft calls a Desktop Information Manager. Not only that, but in keeping with Microsoft's traditions, it has kept the Outlook look and feel rather consistent across the range of functions.
Among the standard features built into Outlook 2007 include what you might call a contact management system (and you don't have to pay extra for it). With you can keep a lot of information about your contacts, not just their e-mail addresses. Then there's a calender, scheduling system, sending yourself notes (kind of like those little yellow slips), keeping a journal and lots, lots more.
Like the other For Dummies books, this book uses simple English to explain things and yet covers the subject very completely.

Outlook for Dummies October 20, 2009 Eleanor A. Cromwell (Cedar Rapids, IA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is a good buy. Considering that it was only $0.48 plus shipping, it was a bargain. If you are new to Outlook, this is a good reference book to have on hand. It was very useful when I was setting up new distribution lists.
Great book, well worth the money! January 7, 2010 sarayale (Oakhurst, NJ) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This book is pretty easy to understand and is a painless and fun way to learn about outlook. There is great deal of information. Definitely recommended for anyone using outlook for the first time as I was, or someone using for a while who may want extra tips.
There are a few places where the book is not accurate or I could not do what it said. I think it includes some tips for Business Contact Manager but unfortunately doesn't mention that the feature is only available in Business Contact Manager. Therefore, you may find yourself a drop frustrated when you can't do what it says,if you do not have this add on program. But, those instances are not too common and overall the book is well worth the money it and has helped me work much faster in Outlook.
Dummies are the Smartest Again February 9, 2010 John DiDomenico (Bordentown, NJ) As usual the Dummie's books make learning easy and fun. This book tells you everything you need to know in an simple to follow format and covers all the important information. Outlook 2007 for Dummies is the one and only book you need to get the most out of your MS Outlook.
